We currently have an opening on our team for a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator (PC) partners with the Project Manager (PM) to support multiple construction project teams.  The PC will use McPherson’s Procore Project Management system to perform many of the assigned tasks.

Must be an expert multi-tasker and have the ability to prioritize work
Must be an expert communicator in writing, on the phone, and in person.  Must be comfortable with communicating up and down the project chain from the client/owner to the field personnel
Must be a “self-starter” and expert problem solver
Must be more than an “order-taker”, someone who can think outside the box and is always looking for a better way to do things
Must have verifiable experience with a general contractor or subcontractor in a similar role

McPherson Contractors has a position open in Sacramento for a Superintendent whose responsibility will be to supervise the field construction of a multi-story hotel project and to complete the work safely on schedule, within the budget and to the highest quality of workmanship possible.
In the performance of this function, it will be the Project Superintendent’s responsibility to protect and promote the company’s interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to discharge the duties and responsibilities of the position. 

The position will provide leadership and establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships of the on-site staff and promote a positive project morale.
Preference in selection will be given to those with the following experience:
Out of the ground, site and civil work, multi-story, wood frame structures.
Exteriors of brick, stone or stucco and glass, and other similar materials
Masonry, elevators, high quality interior finishes, and attention to details.

We are looking for talented construction professionals to coordinate construction project activities in the construction of hotels, multi-family dwellings, hospitals, and specialty retail facilities. Responsibilities include preparing action plans, analyzing risks and opportunities and gathering necessary resources.

In this role, you will work with a team of owners, architects, engineers and tradesmen, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential. You will manage schedules, arrange assignments and communicate progress to all team members. Ultimately, your responsibility will be to ensure our projects meet our standards for safety and quality and are completed on time and under budget.

Work experience as a Foreman, Project Superintendent, Project Coordinator, Project Manager or similar hands-on role is required. The ability to read a set of plans, experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and scheduling is required. Knowledge of project management software such as Procore and iAudit, organization and time-management skills plus solid gold references, will get you interviewed.

A BS in Construction Sciences or related field, and OSHA 30 certification are advantages.
